"God loves you and has chosen you as his own special people.  So be gentle, kind, humble, meek, and patient.  Put up with each other, and forgive anyone who does you wrong, just as Christ has forgiven you.  Love is more important than anything else.  It is what ties everything completely together."  ~ Colossians 3:12-14

"Don't be immoral in matters of sex.  That is a sin against your own body in a way that no other sin is.  You surely know that your body is a temple where the Holy Spirit lives.  The Spirit is in you and is a gift from God.  You are no longer your own." ~ 1 Corinthians 6:18-19

"We never give up.  Our bodies are gradually dying, but we ourselves are being made stronger each day.  These little troubles are getting us ready for an eternal glory that will make all our troubles seem like nothing."   ~ 2 Corinthians 4:16-17

"These tents we now live in are like a heavy burden, and we groan.  But we don't do this just because we want to leave these bodies that will die.  It's because we want to change them for bodies that will never die.  God is the one who makes all of this possible.  He has given us his spirit to make us certain that he will do it.  So always be cheerful!"  ~ 2 Corinthians 5:4-6

If I speak in the tongues of men and angels, but have not love, I am only a resounding gong or clanging cymbal.  If I have the gift of prophecy and can fanthom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountian, but I have not love, I am nothing.  If I give all I possess to the poor and surrender my body to the flames, but have not love, I gain nothing. 

Love is patient, love is kind.  It does envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.  It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, It is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.  Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.  It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perserveres.  Love never fails.  But where there are prophecies, they will cease; when there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away.  For we know in part and we prophesize in part, but when perfection comes, the imperfect disappears.  When I was a child, I talked like a child.  I thought like a child.  I reasoned like a child.  When I became a man, I put childish ways behind me.  Now we see but a poor reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face.  Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known. 

And now these three remain:  faith, hope and love.  But the greatest of these is love.
